Dave Scudder is the Managing Partner of McGladrey & Pullen, LLP (M&P), which is the senior leadership and management position in the firm. M&P is a national accounting firm that provides audit and attest services. M&P operates in an alternative practice structure with RSM McGladrey, a professional services firm providing tax, consulting and other business services. Though separate and independent legal entities, McGladrey & Pullen and RSM McGladrey work together to serve clients' business needs.

Scudder joined M&P in 1986 in an audit position in the firm's Schaumburg, Illinois offic e. He served clients in a variety of industries, with concentrations in the manufacturing, distribution and service industries. He was admitted to partnership in 1995 and appointed the Audit and Assurance Services practice leader of McGladrey & Pullen's Great Lakes practice in 1998. The Great Lakes practice includes offices in northern Indiana, Chicago and northern Illinois, and southern Wisconsin. In 2005, he was elected to the McGladrey & Pullen Board of Directors.

Dave is a Certified Public Accountant and holds public accounting licenses in Illinois and Georgia. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Illinois CPA Society.

Education

Dave earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business from Illinois' Monmouth College in 1983 and a Masters of Business Administration in finance from DePaul University in 1992. In 2002, Dave completed the RSM McGladrey Business Advisor Program at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, a multiple-year customized training program. The program trains participants to effectively advise CEOs and other top executives in essential areas such as corporate strategy, operations, marketing management, organizational behavior, leadership, change and the future.
